Christian Bible Church

Statement of Faith

1).        We believe in God's Grace and the Free Gift of Eternal Life given to anyone

who Will receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their OWN personal Saviour. We

believe in personal work, prayer, visitation, giving, ministering to the sick and

those in need; and we believe that practical application of Biblical truth is as

important as correctness in doctrine or profession of faith.

2).        We believe in all the historical, fundamental doctrines of the Bible such as:

the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, the Deity of Jesus Christ, the Death of Jesus

Christ (THE SUBSTITUTE SIN OFFERING REQUIRED BY GOD THE

FATHER FOR ALL HUMANITY - THE VICARIOUS ATONEMENT),

the bodily Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Pre-Tribulational & Pre-Millennial

Rapture of those who are SAVED, the Seven (7) year Tribulation Period, and

            the Pre-Millennial return of Jesus Christ. (I Cor. 15:1-58; I Thess. 4:12-18).

3).        We believe in the authority of the Local Church and it's separation from

political and state entanglements. We believe in two ordinances (1) Baptisim

and (2) the lord's Supper and in two offices (1) Deacon and (2) Elder (the

presiding Elder being called a Bishop or Pastor.)

4).        We subscribe to the Dispensational Teaching of the word of God, Rightly

            Divided. (II Tim. 2:15)

5.)        We believe that the God Who inspired the scriptures is powerful enough tp

preserve them in the manner in which He intended us to have them.

6).        We believe in the providential PRESERVATION and INSPIRATION of the

true word of God and that the purpose of this is to preserve the

INFALLIBILITY of the inspired original text.

7).        We believe that the providential preservation of the New Testament

concentrated itself on the Greek text within the sphere of the Greek church

through Antioch of Syria and that the text of the majority of manuscripts from

this area is the providentially preserved AUTHORIZED text; the text of the

            majority is the standard text.

8).        This text is the Textus Receptus of the Syrian (Byzantine) extraction coming to

the English speaking people through the Reformation of the Balkans and

Germany. The final outstanding representative of this text is the

AUTHORIZED KING JAMES 1611, which represents a purified neutral

            text.

9).        We believe that the Charismatic movement constitutes a great threat to the

purity of the word and the purity of the Local Church. It's claim to be a

movement of the Holy Spirit is clearly refuted by it's teachings and

practices. The manner in which this unscriptural movement has given an

undeserved, unscriptural respectability to unwarranted and many Apostate

Churches which are part of the Ecumenical Movement, clearly reveals it to

be an important catalyst in the end time formation of the One World, Harlot

            Church of the Anti-Christ.

10).    We believe that the outward manifestations of the gifts of Tongues and

Healing were Sign Gifts given to the Apostolic Church Age to authenticate

their message of offering the Messiah, (their King) and the Kingdom to Israel.

Upon Israel's refusal to accept and believe, the Lord Jesus Christ called the

Apostle Paul to preach the Gospel of the Grace of God to all people. Then

gradually, the sign Gifts disappeared as there was no need for them in the

present dispensation of the Grace of God in this Church Age, where all

            Believers are part OF and IN the Body of Jesus Christ. (Acts 28:23-31;

            Eph. 3:1-21, 11-22, 5:30-32; Col. 1:13-14, 20-29; 2:8-15; II Cor. 12:6-10;

            Gal 1:11-12.)
